The Kitchen Desk Completed

Shame on me!  I just realized that I have neglected posting any pictures of what I did to the little nook in our kitchen that I am turning into my desk/office area.  It formally was the collector of "stuff" that I didn't know what else to do with in the kitchen.  After cleaning up my clutter, I set down to complete a few projects that would make this area look a little more friendly.

After completing my weekly calendar, I wrapped some fabric around cork board squares to make little bulletin boards.  I like having a place that I can pin pictures, special items or just something that I do not want to forget.  Plus, being that our refrigerator is not magnetic, I wanted a place for all those cutsie baby announcements and save the date cards.  I think it looks cozy, especially when the sun is shining through the window!  There is still a few more things that I want to complete in this nook, but I think that this will do just fine, for now. :)

I think that one of my most favorite parts is actually having my cookbooks in one place.  I think that I am starting a collection with the ones on the desk and in the crate below!  Now I just need to crack one open and start cooking!
