After Christmas Planning

So Christmas has come and now it has gone - time sure does fly!  This was my husband and my first Christmas away from our immediate families, so it was one of making new traditions!  We enjoyed a Christmas breakfast, followed by a day of playing games and watching as many Christmas movies as we could on Netflix.  We ended the day by eating a HUGE Christmas Ham.  I haven't quite mastered this "cooking for two" thing yet, as our ham was 11 pounds... you know what that means, LEFTOVERS!! Yum! :)

I will probably write more about the Christmas crafts that I did and the recipes that I attempted at a later date, but in the mean time I want everyone to see what area of this house I will be working on next.

In the kitchen, we have a little built in desk area that has become a catch-all for stuff - Either stuff I just haven't put away yet or stuff that I don't know what to do with.  My goal in the next few weeks is to first, organize it and secondly, spruce it up a bit.  It's a little dull in my opinion; I mean, if I plan to sit here and actually use it as a desk, I want it to look cheery and fun!

In closing, I am going to be taking down our Christmas tree tomorrow, so to commemorate our first tree, I am posting a few of the ornaments the adorned our (fake) pine tree. :)
