Step One[/caption]The first step was easy: using the hot glue gun to glue the crayons to the canvas. Being that I was making a sea, I used a lot of different shades of blue. Then out came the blow dryer. I used a box so that the wax didn't fly everywhere (and it did fly everywhere in the box :))
Onto the sun! Using yellows, I hot glued the crayons on the top corner of the canvas and using the blowdryer, melted them. I didn't melt them as much as the blue because I didn't want their colors to run into each other.
I let it dry laying flat and then up on the wall it went. It actually went on my boyfriends wall - he is nice and lets me display my projects at his apartment.[caption id="attachment_186" align="aligncenter" width="286"]
and now it's hanging on the wall[/caption]Being that this was my first try, it wasn't perfect, but I definitely learned a bit about melting crayons! I would like to try it again with a different design and maybe more COLORS!! :)
I love that this is on C's wall! hehehehe... Awesome. <3
ReplyDeleteI was kind of surprised that he kept it there - I hung it up and when he saw it, he just kinda shrugged. haha! Maybe he has just been too lazy to take it down :)

ReplyDeleteNo Problem! It was fun and I am excited to do another one - practice makes perfect! :)
