Holiday Recap

Tis the season... to be busy!! I am serious and joking all at the same time!  The time between Christmas and New Years is crazy-busy for me, but I love it just the same.  It is full of spending time with family and lots & lots of eating!  On the actual day of Christmas, I visited both sets of my grandparents, with a trip to the airport in between.  You see, my special man friend (aka boyfriend) was able to fly in for a visit, but the only way to find a decent priced ticket was to fly on Christmas day.  Did I mention, that long-distance relationships stink! :P  I was very glad that he was able to visit and stay the week.  Santa even left him a present under the tree!

Not only did I spend time with family on Christmas day, my family has several parties/get togethers between the week of Christmas and New Years.  This year's festivities were deviated slightly due to the snowy weather, but we still were able to see each other several times throughout the week.  We always cherish these times because my family is spread out, so Christmas is the time that most of us are able to come back together.  At one of the parties, we had a competitive White Elephant gift exchange.  Call me crazy, but I really liked my gift!

I stole this away from my cousin... don't judge, I just ran out of toilet bowl cleaner that week, so I really wanted it! :)

Overall, I had a lovely Christmas & New Years.  But now back to the daily grind!  The good news is that one week after Christmas, I have finally finished my best friend's homemade Christmas gift (better late than never, right?).  I'll post pictures after she receives it, so it won't ruin the surprise!  Shh! :)
